Allsup SSDI Webinar (1:00 pm- 2:00 pm)

The National Council of the United States Society of St. Vincent de Paul is pleased to be working with Allsup on a new initiative designed to help Vincentians' efforts make a lasting difference through systemic change. Allsup has a 97 percent success rate in securing Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) for eligible people who complete the application process with them. Their organization also helps SSDI beneficiaries to secure employment. An Allsup Representative will present a webinar on the resources they cna provide to help us better serve our friends in need around this topic.

Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers (2:00 pm - 3:00 pm)

This workshop will be presented by Michael Lucas from the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation (AVLF) and will explain their programs and how you can use them as a resource when working with clients. The AVLF provides legal help and education for low-income individuals through committed volunteers to meet the civil legal needs of the Atlanta and surrounding communities.

The Home Visit (1:00 pm - 3:00 pm)

The Home Visit is a very important part of SVdP’s work with its clients. There are specific procedures and guidelines to adhere to as a Home Visitor. In this class, Vincentians will become familiar with the proper way to conduct a Home Visit, from safety protocol to documentation. This part of the day will include an open discussion about home visits.

Ozanam Orientation (9:30 am- 12:30 pm)

Whether you’ve been a Vincentian for two days or two decades, Ozanam Orientation offers you an opportunity to be inspired, informed, refreshed and renewed in what it means to be a member of The Society and how that membership is to be lived in the Conference and everyday life.
